Taking Responsibility!
Men have only one way of preventing unwanted pregnancies of their own initiative: sterilization. This is done by tying up the spermatic ducts ("vasectomy").
Men who opt for a vasectomy do so for various reasons: One group of men does not want any children at all, nor, often, any steady relationship. For them, a vasectomy is the most reliable way of having sex without having to fear that the woman becomes pregnant.
But another group of men is much larger, that is, those who live in a functional relationship, already have children with their partner and have reached the decision (jointly) not to have any more kids. For these men, having a vasectomy is proof that they are willing to take responsibility for contraception. After all, this surgery is much less complicated than the sterilization of a woman.
